Adult Video Played on Connaught Place LED Screen: Police Investigate the Incident
Delhi‘s Connaught Place made headlines for the wrong reasons when an adult video was displayed on a digital advertisement board on Thursday night. NDMC officials suggested that the LED screen might have been hacked using advanced technology. Following the incident, the Delhi Police registered an FIR under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). Investigations are ongoing to identify those responsible.
The incident came to light when a passerby noticed the explicit content playing on an LED screen in Connaught Place’s H Block. The screen, typically used for advertisements, is located in a prominent area under the NDMC’s jurisdiction.
The NDMC quickly removed the video after police intervention. In a statement, the council emphasized that the LED panels are of international standards, secured by a firewall and antivirus. They noted that the issue of how the security was breached is under careful review.
In response to the incident, NDMC assured that security in the area has been increased, stating that the security breach was contained to this specific area. Further investigation is ongoing.
